Afraid Of Fellows

John 12:43 "For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God."

In chapters 11 and 12 we see Christ performing miracles and people believing on Him. But as the verses progress we see a few who believe that Christ is the Son of God, but are too afraid to confess that they believe. They are something we would say in elementary school...fraidy cats!

As I read these few chapters this morning in my devotions, I couldn't help but think how many teenagers are in this same boat. The have believed on the Lord for salvation, but are sometimes scared to show and share their faith with others. I know that when I was in my public school as a teenager, it was NOT always easy for me to confess my Christianity; but what a difference God made in the lives of those I did have courage to talk to!

I think of my best friend Jake, who got saved when we were 13 and later died at age 16 from a drunk driver. I think of Angel and Jessica that were reached on my bus route as a teen and are still coming to church now! The list could go on of those the Lord allowed me to minister to as a teenager. Likewise, the Lord wants to use you, but the choice of allowing Him too is up to you!

Will you make your faith known...or be afraid of your fellows?
