Heart Attack

Just over a year ago, my father had a heart attack. I will never forget the horribleness of that time in my life! My father lived, but the pain that I saw on my daddy's face forever changed my life! Just a few days prior to his heart attack, my dad began to feel some pain in his chest so he took some nitrates to lessen the simptoms while not telling anyone of the problem he was feeling. Sure enough, just a few days later, he had a severe heart attack.
Many of you, when you read that my dad did not tell anyone about his chest pain would call him crazy. I would agree...we have talked it over. I wonder though how many of us walk around from day to day with heart problems and never seek help. I am not talking about a physical heart problem, but a spiritual one! The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" Most anyone that is having chest pains or numbness in their arm will go and seek help, not to just push the inevitable heart attack under the rug. Likewise in our Christian lives, I challenge you to seek help with those spiritual heart problems that you may be facing; before you must face the severe pains of a HEART ATTACK!
