Mask Update

Dear Church Family,

Thank you for checking this update!

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful (tenderhearted; compassionate; to have pity), be courteous:” (1 Peter 3:8, KJV)

I recently received the following letter from a family visiting our church services and I wanted to share it with you: “ I just want to say, “thank you” to you and your staff for the leadership your church has shown in these times. It is so nice to have the body working together in peace. It is a stark contrast to my experiences elsewhere during this same time.”

I praise God for that letter and I pray that we will continue to have unity as the Holy Spirit works in us to conform us to the image of Christ in times when division is so prevalent.

We have an update concerning our mask policy at Lifeway Baptist Church that we want you to be aware of today August 8. This is a change from our previous policy as we have recently received permission from the Monroe County Health Department to adopt this change. We understand that information for all of us is often changing and therefore, moving forward, we are prepared to adapt as we learn more about this virus. Thank you for your graciousness towards leadership and prayers for guidance in the days ahead.

Beginning on Sunday, August 9, 2020, all congregants may remove their face coverings (face masks) once seated in the auditorium or gymnasium. We do ask that all attenders please wear a face covering into the church building and until you are seated. All social distancing guidelines are still encouraged. We also ask that you place the mask on while singing.

We look forward to loving each other in this unique way and we continue to pray for the health and safety of the church family, especially our most vulnerable, as well as for those in our community.
